It is understood that on August 29, the website of the Department of civil affairs of Henan Province issued the notice of the people's Government of Henan Province on revoking the establishment of Changyuan city at the county level in Changyuan county (YZ [2019] No. 17), officially announcing the withdrawal of Changyuan county from the construction of city. According to the notice, with the approval of the State Council, it is agreed that Changyuan county will be abolished and Changyuan city at county level will be established. The administrative area of the original Changyuan county will be the administrative area of Changyuan city. The people's Government of Changyuan city will be located at No. 368, Renmin Road, Puxi street. Changyuan city is directly under the provincial government, and Xinxiang City is in charge of it.
Changyuan is located in the northeast of Henan Province. It is located in the center of Zhengzhou, Xinxiang, Anyang, Puyang, Kaifeng, Heze and other urban agglomerations, with superior geographical position. It is across the Yellow River from Lankao County and Dongming County of Shandong Province. It covers an area of 1051 square kilometers, cultivated land of 860000 mu, population of 880000.
